  • Prepared a comprehensive report on the status of the wood processing industry in sub-Saharan Africa for the Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, the African Forestry Research Network and the Food and Agriculture Organisation’s Forestry Department.

  • Developed a project proposal which has now received funding from the ITTO to convene a workshop in Ghana on how Africa can benefit from CDM projects under the Kyoto Protocol.

  • Developed a project proposal which as been approved for funding by the ITTO to investigate the performance of Papua New Guinea’s forest products in some of its key export markets.

  • Established a Timber Marketing Council for the Government of Guyana including developing the Council’s first 5-year Business Plan, Governance framework and recruiting the inaugural staff.

  • Prepared a funding application for the Faculty of Land and Food Resources, University of Melbourne, on commercializing a termite project under the Victorian Government’s Sustainability Fund (March 2006, University of Melbourne).
  • Prepared a funding application for the Faculty of Land and Food Resources, University of Melbourne, on a project aimed at using waste wood to mass rear termites as protein supplement for the manufacture of commercial animal feed under the Australian Research Council’s Linkage Grant Program (April 2006, University of Melbourne).
  • Facilitated a very successful Workshop on creating awareness within Africa of the opportunities under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism for additional investments into sustainable natural resource management. Asumadu & Associates prepared the proposal, sought funding for it and facilitated the Workshop. (Accra, 2nd to 5th October 2006, Government of Ghana and the International Tropical Timber Organisation)
  • Facilitated a very successful multi-stakeholder Regional Workshop on enhancing forest law enforcement within the South Pacific Region. Asumadu & Associates prepared the proposal, sought funding for it and facilitated the Workshop. (Port Moresby, 11-12th October 2006, Government of Papua New Guinea and the International Tropical Timber Organisation)
